Wednesday, August 26

Wednesday Night Live at the Levine Center for the Arts — Every Wednesday from 5–9 PM, enjoy free admission to the Mint Museum, Bechtler Museum, and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture. This week the Gantt Center features current exhibitions including works by YoYo Lander and Khalif Tahir Thompson — abstract works by Black artists spanning the 1920s to today. Music Without Borders — A free two-day global music celebration across multiple Charlotte venues. Friday night at Camp North End (Loyd Studios, 120 Razades Way) from 6:45–9:30 PM features DJ Ora BLVCK, Tabla drummer Jettu Singh, UNC Charlotte Bhangra dancers, and local Dabke dancers. Saturday events include Latin music with Azteca Mariachi at Changebaker (4405 Central Avenue, 10 AM – 1 PM) and live Arabic music at Haraz Coffee House South End (3441 South Blvd, 6:30–9:30 PM). Saturday, August 29

2026 Keep Pounding High School Classic — Bank of America Stadium. Two powerhouse high school football matchups to kick off the season: Indian Land Warriors vs. Northwestern Trojans at 4:00 PM, followed by Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders vs. Hough Huskies at 8:00 PM.
