Pastors' Community Meeting Moves Online — Here's Why It Matters

For the past year, the Pastors' Community Meeting has been one of the most quietly powerful things we do. Faith leaders from across Charlotte sit at one table and talk honestly about what their neighborhoods need.

Going virtual

Starting this month, the meeting is hosted on Zoom. The change is practical: pastors serving in Gastonia, Concord and Rock Hill told us the drive was the single biggest barrier to attending. Now it is one click.

What we discuss

• Shared benevolence funds and how to avoid duplicating aid
• Youth programming gaps in the summer months
• Coordinating on housing and utility assistance referrals
